Werewolf Bar Mitzvah

I'm trying to find a specific 30 Rock quote to use in a blog post I want to put together. This is not the quote. But it is pretty hilarious and is now stuck in my head.

Tall Dog vs. Tall Dog on Conan

Conan O'Brien is by far my favorite late night host. Especially when brings on animals.

This made me laugh. Check out the link for "Tall Dog vs. Tall Dog"

My Favorite Music Videos of 2009

I know I'm technically a day late to post this, but oh well.

So I love music videos. Especially those with good choreography. Here are a couple of my fav's from this year. [Note: I like more than blonde pop stars...I just found these visually cool in one way or another. Okay. Enjoy. Discuss.]

Beyonce: Single Ladies

Kanye will agree with me. It's an obvious choice. Three women in leotards, a white backdrop, and classic Bob Fosse choreography. The source for a spew of internet parodies:

Lady Gaga: Papparazzi

A mini-movie from one of the biggest names in music and pop culture this year. And I was fortunate enough to have gone to her concert last March at The Fine Line Cafe in Minneapolis. My ticket was a whole $23. That opportunity will never happen again with Gaga. It's sold out stadiums from here on out for her. But it was an awesome concert. She's great live. If you can, go see her.

Britney Spears: 3

I'm still not convinced that "Britney is back." But she's definitely on her way. And the video for this bonus track from her Circus album is one of my favorites of hers in a long time. Guys, you'll probably enjoy her scantily clad outfits. And ladies, check out her shoes (specifically at 0:20...hello!). Plus, it's extremely catchy and a perfect workout jam. Also note that this is the director's cut version - so much better than the original!

Shakira: Did It Again

Okay so once you can get past the fact that this is all happening on a bed, you'll see that there's some really creative choreography going on here. Shakira has always had a unique style, and sometimes even I don't get it (i.e. her random robot move). But she won me over by mixing martial arts into this video. It's very cool. Makes you wanna roundhouse someone.

There are certainly other really good videos that came out this past year. What were some of your favorites? What makes a great music video to you?

A very Merry #TweetCrawl

I'm not typically a wine drinker, but I thought I'd class it up for you all. Plus there's a ton of left over bottles from Christmas Eve.

Be merry and be well - cheers!

Nine

I just saw the movie Nine which opened today. The cast is packed with A-listers such as Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Sofia Loren, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson, and Penelope Cruz.

Set in 60s Rome, the story follows Lewis' character as he searches for inspiration for his film Italia. Along the way, you watch him struggle with tangled relationships with an array of beautiful women.

I had seen and heard one of the featured songs, Be Italian, sung by Fergie prior to seeing the film. Even afterwards, it's still my favorite performance in the movie. It's super sexy, rugged, and powerful. Plus the choreography is great while it incorporates chairs, tambourines, sand and a very hot line dance at the end.

I'm not generally a Kate Hudson fan, but I have to say that she surprised me with her number, Cinema Italiano. Her vocals are not too shabby and she kept up with her army of well-dressed male dancers just fine. The song is still stuck in my head. Here's a little montage featuring the song and Hudson's performance.

Did anyone else see Nine? What did you think?

Merry Christmas little ones

Some pictures from last night's Christmas eve festivities. Lots of kidlets running around excited to open presents. They are cute, fun, and definitely a handful.

Hope Santa was good to all of you, too!
